The audiobook version of Alex Van Halen’s new memoir, Brothers, will feature the last song that the drummer ever wrote with his late brother, the guitar legend Eddie Van Halen. The previously unheard track is called, “Unfinished,” and it is the final song the two brothers ever wrote together. Compared to the other surviving members of Van Halen, the 71-year-old Alex has mostly remained  out of the public spotlight since Eddie’s death back in 2020 at the age of 65. But the celebrated drummer is ready to break his radio silence by releasing his memoir on October 22 via HarperCollins. The audiobook version of Brothers will feature Alex narrating his own personal story, which will be soundtracked by “Unfinished,” the rockstar brothers’ final song together. “This is my tribute to my brother; my way of saying goodbye,” said Alex about the inspiration behind writing his book. “Ed, I love you and miss you. When I see you again, I’m gonna kick your ass!” (NME)
