White Claw releases 8% seltzer, variety pack with 3 new flavors

CHICAGO — White Claw is taking things to the next level.

The wildly popular seltzer brand announced Tuesday that it is releasing a higher ABV beverage just in time for the summer months. The announcement coincides with the release of its third variety pack, which includes several new flavors.

“White Claw has experienced tremendous growth and consumers have insatiable appetite for new products,” said John Shea, Chief Marketing Officer, White Claw Hard Seltzer, North America. “So, for us it was a simple decision to give fans new options they crave with the same great tasting flavor profile we know they love from White Claw.”

White Claw Hard Seltzer Surge features a higher 8% alcohol content, up from 5%, and a larger 16oz. can. It is available in two new flavors, Blood Orange and Cranberry.

White Claw Hard Seltzer Variety Pack Flavor Collection No. 3 includes three new flavors: Strawberry, Pineapple and Blackberry, alongside fan-favorite, Mango.

Other available White Claw flavors include Black Cherry, Watermelon, Tangerine, Lemon, Raspberry, Ruby Grapefruit and Natural Lime.

White Claw can be purchased in individual 6-packs, 12-pack variety packs and single 16 and 19.2oz. cans at convenience stores and grocery chains nationwide. The seltzer is currently sold in five international markets with another 10 planned for 2021.
